About Grassfed Beef - Health and Research
Q. Why is it healthier beef?
A. Cattle are free-range, meaning NO crowded feedlot conditions. Cows are not fed corn to "finish" them, resulting in leaner meat (low cholesterol beef equal to chicken). No worries about mad-cow disease.
Q. Why is it tastier beef?
A. Cattle are raised for meat consumption and are NOT old dairy cows. These are young cows.
Q. Where are the farms?
A. Both Triple Creek Farms and Stonecroft Highlands are in northern Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, in the Stone Valley area.
Recent information on the healthy aspects of grass fed beef can be read in a published article by Susan Beal, DVM; courtesy of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA).
